Leeds City Vixens are the visitors to Worksop Town F.C. this Sunday (2.00pm Kick-Off) for the Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday WFC.
With the Owls lying second from bottom - but only 1 point behind 9th placed Vixen's, all eyes will be on Worksop to what promises to be a fascinating game.
Manager Dan Duke will have a full squad to pick from with Beth Gingell back in training, and Emily Scott back to full fitness. And after Wednesday nights practice match against Sheffield F.C. many of the Owls fringe players put in some fine individual performances in an attempt to push their case forward for a place in the 16 woman squad come Sunday.
Talking about the game ahead Assistant Manager Liam Kelly said; "Sunday can't come soon enough, we are excited to be getting back on the pitch for match day. Nine times out of ten, we know what derby games give you; goals, commitment, desire, high tempo - but because of that comes the team and individual errors and moments of genius yet the moments of madness. The team that makes the fewest errors and takes a larger percentage of there's chances will win - no doubts about that. We win, pressure lowers and puts them down in the mix, we lose, pressure increases and we make the coming weeks harder; it's that simple."
